Kyle grew up just 20 minutes from downtown Toronto, but from a young age, he seized every opportunity to work on his family farm in Eastern Ontario. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa in 2013, Kyle dedicated himself to working full-time on his family’s century-old farm, combining his academic background with hands-on agricultural experience.

Kyle plays a vital role in Crescero’s operations team, with a primary focus on the Eastern Ontario region. He collaborates closely with both the acquisition and operations teams to manage farmland in this area, leveraging his deep understanding of the region’s farmland and farm families to create value for both investors and agricultural partners.

Kyle’s strong agronomy background is integral to Crescero’s efforts in soil health and sustainability. As the lead on soil health initiatives, regenerative agriculture practices, and sustainability reporting in alignment with the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), Kyle ensures that Crescero’s actions prioritize long-term farmland productivity and environmental stewardship. His expertise is instrumental during acquisitions, optimization, and the ongoing management of farmland, aligning Crescero’s operations with its sustainability goals.

In 2015, Kyle launched his independent agronomy consulting company through Agri-Trend, where he worked with farmers in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec to grow high-quality crops while managing inputs for maximum profitability. In 2019, he earned his Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) designation, which he uses to coach farmers in implementing the best 4R Nutrient Stewardship practices—Right Source, Right Rate, Right Time, and Right Place.

Kyle’s passion lies in combining technology and agronomy to help farmers maximize profitability and crop quality while producing environmentally sustainable products. His commitment to innovative and sustainable agricultural practices ensures that Crescero remains at the forefront of responsible farmland management.

Kyle is also a member of the Ontario Institute of Agrologists as well as a representative for the Grain Farmers of Ontario.
